Izu has endless bubbling volcanic mineral water yielding the lush landscape with mineral rich soil, and providing hot healing waters for its happy inhabitants.

While in Izu we highly recommend you take advantage of it's curative hot waters. We can recommend a number of great onsen in and around Shimoda.
